Professional links

Adding links from ‘Crow Pie’ pages to a web site of your choice

Professional links may be added to specific Gargoyle Pie pages, to enable browsers to follow their interest beyond our web site, and onto British producers, or to people and organisations who are engaged in promoting good foods or good practice.

All professional links are £25 per link, per year, wherever they occur. Professional links can be added to the following sections:

Calendars (alongside the relevant event)

Lane’s Labels (alongside the relevant ‘label’)

Archive pages (in a dedicated section at the bottom of each page)

Professional link on archive pages

Companies mentioned within the text of archive pages will be linked directly to their ‘Company Presentation Page’ however mentions of companies which don’t have a ‘Presentation’ page will not have a link, by these companies may purchase a link.
All ‘Professional’ links will be grouped at the bottom of each relevant archive page

How to create a professional link

Send us, by email:
- the ‘name’ of the link (which will appear on the web site)
- the exact location, within the site, page, paragraph, where you wish the link to appear.
- the URL to which the ‘name’ will link to

We will check the integrity of the link and then get in touch with you by email or phone.
Payment will then be required to create the link and make it ‘live’. Payment can be made by phone (debit card/credit) or by cheque.

Definitions

The definitions of ‘voluntary’ and professional’ may be confusing to some, deliberately to some unscrupulous organisations.

The idea behind the free links is that those of you that are actually making profit (or trying to make profit) get to help those that are contributing to, or working hard on behalf of, the British food and drink industry, but aren’t going to make any money for themselves.

This enables us all to engage, together, in highlighting our wonderful food traditions for the mutual benefit of individuals, businesses and our culture. So if you are a profit making organisation, or group, or your event will contribute to the earnings of a profit making organisation, then you are categorised as ‘professional’. Please enter into the spirit of these categorisations. If in doubt get in touch (if you value your testicles).
