‘LEG’ assessment – Lane’s Extinction Grading

What is the LEG assessment
I am attempting to assess the ‘health’ or survival chances of each food tradition that I encounter, and to apply a ‘LEG’ to each food and drink entry. Lane’s Extinction Grading will give you an idea about the safety of each traditional food and I hope that a ‘dangerous’ grading (red) will motivate us all to do something about it.
The LEG assessment appears, as a number, in the top, right hand corner of each glossary entry, where appropriate. Clicking on the number will bring up the ‘LEG’ definition of that particular number.
The gradings are also colour coded to indicate level of danger. You will get the idea from the chart below.
